On Thursday 3rd April the Art Department along with year 10 Photography and Graphic Design students created the first GHS Light Festival. Students had developed fantastic work and as a part of celebrating their success, their work was projected onto the school building! This was accompanied by music of their choice. Students researched different light festivals around the world…..and we decided to have one of our own! All of the work shown has developed from practical workshops in the drama studio, where students were able experiment with plasma balls, torches and glow sticks to create exciting long exposure photographs and designs. The year 11 catering and hospitality students kindly sold an excellent assortment of cakes! A big Thank you to everyone involved! It is fantastic to see year 10 working so hard. The evening was a great success and there was a huge turnout.
